Doctors and nurses work closely with you to create your birth plan, and can accommodate everything from birthing balls to mobile fetal monitoring units so important tests can be done without sacrificing your ability to move around during labor. Visiting is unlimited during labor and delivery to allow your family and close supporters to be present at this special time. Each room has a daybed for your partner and a refrigerator, television, and other amenities to make you feel right at home. The Breastfeeding Support Clinic is staffed by registered nurses who are board certified lactation consultants. They visit new moms in the hospital soon after birth, as well as offering outpatient appointments to the community. Good Samaritan’s Family Birth Center also houses a Level II nursery on site so that your baby can stay close to you even if special needs arise. Childbirth education is available through the Family Birth Center as well.
