Has sleep become the most precious commodity in your life now that you're a parent? Are you worried that once your baby comes, you might never sleep again? Wondering how to reconcile the well-meaning advice you receive and your instincts on parenting? For parents who don't believe in letting their baby cry it out but who desperately want to sleep now, there is a third option, presented in Elizabeth Pantley's sanity-saving book The No-Cry Sleep Solution: Gentle Ways to Help Your Baby Sleep Through the Night. Great Starts Birth & Family Education presents Elizabeth Pantley, who will talk to expectant and new parents about helping to get babies to sleep through gentle means and without resorting to "cry it out" techniques. Elizabeth will be available for questions and book signing after the lecture. Also, check out the Resources Fair with information, products, and services geared toward expectant and new parents and families. There will be some great raffle items, too! The Great Starts Lecture and Resources Fair takes place at the center for Urban Horticulture on May 21 from noon-3:30 p.m. Elizabeth Pantley will be lecturing from 1:30-3 p.m., with book signing and exhibits continuing until 3:30 p.m. To register, or for more information, visit their website. Registration is $10 through May 13 and $12 after May 13. |
