Biringer Farm

Would you or your child like to pick berries, plant a pumpkin seed, use a water pump, or feed a goat? These are just some of the hands-on activities at Biringer Farm. Others include tours, Pig Out (a harvest party), a corn maze, and much more.

The Biringer family has spent a great deal of time and energy making the tours unique, interactive, educational, and fun. The tours are geared for preschool children through sixth grade and any group size is welcome. Their farm is open to the public seasonally and a self-guided tour is also available.

Tours are one way that Michael and Dianna are educating others about where food comes from. "We are concerned that the next generation is getting farther from the food supply," remarks Dianna.

Michael is a second generation berry farmer and the Biringer family has been growing berries in Washington since 1948. The love of farming runs deep and as he puts it, "If you like what you do, it isn't work." He has created practical and whimsical farm inventions that have lasted for decades. For example, he converted two buses into interactive educational centers-the "Bee Bus" and "Lady Bug Bus," as well as inventing a picking platform made of ironing boards to be used while laying down.

The farm is also a great place to have a family picnic or a birthday party with catering and covered picnic areas available. Visit the farm, conveniently located on Highway 529 between Everett and Marysville, pick some berries, learn some farm talk, and don't forget your fishing pole. If you are planning to pick, call the berry hotline first at 425-259-0255 for more details. For more information, check out their website.
